Researching family genealogy I've discovered my husbands family name was originally Prudhomme and was established in 1170. Among the various possessions of the Prudhommes was the Barton of Pridhamsleigh in the parish of Staverton. Checking this website I found a map showing a listing for Pridhamsleigh and a Lord Cranstoun owned this as well as the Gould family. Would love to know if this still exists and if there are any pictures. Over the years the name has changed to Pridham or now Pritham. Any information would be welcome. Love the website and your village is most charming. Hope to visit one day.
